ShrinkLocal (“we”, “this site”) is a free tool that compresses images entirely in your web browser, including batch processing and ZIP downloads. This policy explains what happens to your data.

Your images

• We do not upload, store, or receive your image files. Compression runs on your device using WebAssembly (MozJPEG, WebP, and related codecs).
• Images you select are read into browser memory only. They are not sent to our servers.
• ZIP archives are built locally in your browser; we never see their contents.
• When you download results, your browser saves files locally — we are not involved.

What we may collect

At launch, this site does not use third-party analytics or advertising scripts. We may add privacy-friendly, aggregated statistics later. If we do, this page will be updated.

Our hosting provider (e.g. Cloudflare, Vercel) may process standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security. We do not use those logs to access your images.

Local browser storage

We do not persist your images in cookies or localStorage. Quality and format choices are not saved between sessions unless your browser restores form state on its own.

Third-party code

Encoder files (JavaScript and WebAssembly) are served from this site, not from a third-party CDN, so your photos are not sent to external CDNs during compression.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
